CITY CHAMPIONS 2026!
GATOR DYNASTY- YOU DID IT AGAIN!!! 2026 CITY MEET CHAMPS!
Our older kids built a nice lead on Friday, our team absolutely dominated the distance session (I had many coaches in disbelief at our team's depth in distance events!), and our youngest Gators swam out of their minds today to finish the job. Top to bottom- WOW!
So many of our athletes faced adversity this season, and stepped up when it came time for the big stage at the City Meet!
Let's be clear- I love to win. This weekend what truly made my coaching heart the happiest... was the conversation from other teams complimenting our sportsmanship and talent, the support from our Gator families, and watching all the hard work our athletes have put in over the last few weeks pay off. Winning feels good, but the process we went through to get there is what makes our victory so special.
Results have been uploaded into Swimtopia, but coaches are waiting on a file update from Swimtopia for state times before sending out official results (the hold up involves state times from 2025 were listed on the 2026 city meet program, and not all of those times are accurate for this season...this does NOT impact any of our athletes who have been told they qualified).
Tomorrow you can expect to see an email from me with official results!
Many of our athletes hit state qualifying times to extend their season one more week! Some are super close to getting those times and will have one last chance on Monday. With or without state times, this season has been one to be so proud of for all our athletes.
State practices will be Tuesday- Thursday next week from 7:30 AM-8:30 AM. State practices are mandatory for all state team swimmers. However, all athletes are welcome to attend this practice session!
I cannot wait to celebrate this season and honor our state team on Tuesday July 21st from 6-8 PM with you all.
Being a Nelson Farm Gator is special- thank you for welcoming me with open arms all season long. Colin, Kaidan, and I love spending our mornings with your athletes, and can't wait to see what success is coming our way at the State Meet!
Congratulations on being the Horsetooth Summer Swim League 2026 City Champions! Official results coming to you tomorrow!
