City Meet Updates- PLEASE READ
Hey Gators!
I hope you had a safe and happy 4th! I have some updated City Meet details with changes in deadlines so please read this email in its entirety!
City Meet Entry Deadline is going to be moved up in order for the team to collect the accompanying fees that go with it. Entries for the City Meet are now due Wednesday 7/8 at 12 noon. I apologize for changing this- it is my error, and will give us a little more time to get those fees turned in. The City Meet is one of the few meets where there is zero flexibility with deadlines so please do not wait to get these entries in.
For families that are not familiar with the City Meet, there are additional entry fees into this meet due to it being such a stress on the host team, neighborhood, and facility to run a meet of this size.
Please see the 2026 City Meet fees below:
- $5 meet fee per athlete
- $7 per individual event (max 3 per person)
- $14 per relay ($14/4 = $3.50/person/race)
So, if a swimmer is competing in 3 events and 2 relays (maxed out): $33 ($7x3+$3.50x2 + $5). Please note that not all athletes will owe this amount dependent on their # of events.
I will have relays created and entry sheets emailed out by 2 PM on Wednesday so that families are able to see their total amount due and pay that by cash, check, or Venmo. Cash or check can be turned in at practice on Thursday and Friday. The team Venmo can be accessed on the home page of our website.
Payment will be due by Friday, otherwise entries for your child will not be submitted. If this amount is not financially possible for your family at this time please reach out to me. I do not want for fees to be the reason athletes don't participate in this meet.
We need ALL of our Gators out in full force in order for us to bring home another city title!
Please note that coaches may change athlete events to help spread our talent out, or if athletes are signed up for a stroke they are not legally swimming at this point in the season.
Please let me know what questions you may have, I am so excited for our fastest swims of the season!
