Week of 6/29

Gator Week 2026 is almost here!!

This is our last push to help get our bodies some extra training to prepare for city and state! We will use this upcoming week as our ramp up to the top of our training, and the following 2 weeks to taper off to prep for the city meet.

Monday 6/29- MILE MONDAY Gear up because we are swimming a mile plus or minus for each group. LOTS of yards today!

Tuesday 6/30- T-SHIRT TUESDAY Bring an old t-shirt to practice, we will be wearing them while we train today for some resistance training.

Wednesday 7/1- ANYTHING BUT A WATER BOTTLE WEDNESDAY Everyone needs to bring a water bottle for practice today but the catch is…it can’t be a water bottle! Think of those empty containers, pots/pans, you name it! Prizes will be awarded for most creative water bottles!

Thursday 7/2- THRESHOLD THURSDAY Get ready for an hour of power to see if you are really in shape!

Friday 7/3- FINALS FRIDAY We will be doing a lot of meet-style racing today so be ready to go fast!

A couple of notes about practice this week..practice times are different so please be on time and ready to go! OG’s will not have set-up days, once you get to practice we will work together to get set up as quickly as possible.

Week of 6/28-7/3 ONLY:

OG's: 6:15-7:45 AM

Caimans: 7:25-8:45 AM

Hatchlings: 8:25-9:15 AM

Caiman and Hatchling Sessions will start with dryland training so please come in with the appropriate shoes to complete some dryland prior to getting in the water!

Saturday 7/4 we do not have a meet so enjoy the weekend off! Please help to get Village Green and City meet entries in. As a reminder, coaches will have the final say in City Meet events, but we are leaving them open to your choice to begin with. With our goal of winning the city meet- be open to distance events, butterfly, and IMs!

Both Village Green and the City Meet will have officials. Our previous meets have not had officials. If you child doesn't have a legal stroke, coaches will continue to work on making those legal changes but may result in changing their events to ones that they can legally swim! :)

It is going to be a great week that gets us ready for our best swims yet!
