Nelson Farm Dynasty,

I've coached in 15 City Meets and have never seen such a dominating performance from a team. From our 8&Us to our 17-18 year olds and everyone in between, it was an incredible thing to watch and be a part of.  An email can't even begin to convey how overwhelmingly successful this City Meet was and how happy & proud I am of this group, so I'm not even going to try — I'll save it for the end of season party. (Speaking of which, the end of season party is scheduled for the evening of Monday, August 11th). 

Thank you to our amazing group of parents who volunteered and cheered, not just at City Meet, but all season long — none of this would have been possible without you!

Final City Meet results are attached (team scores are at the very end). 

Let's party like it's 1999! Meet at the NFAC at 7:30 PM TONIGHT to celebrate! We're going to pump some music, enjoy some popsicles, and take a victory bell plunge! Hopefully (most) everyone can make it - especially our 11&Up swimmers since they weren't part of the the celebration today.

On a different note, on Monday we're doing an intersquad "Last Chance Meet" for a handful of swimmers who are close to qualifying for state. Tomorrow I'll carefully comb through results and top times to determine who is on the cusp of qualifying. While I'm sure many of our swimmers would like to try one last time for State, we're only entering swimmers that have a realistic chance at qualifying. It's a very tough line to draw, but we don't have time to run a full meet with our whole team (state entries are due at noon Monday). I'll reach out to swimmers and families that fall into this category tomorrow (7/20) with more information. The current state team is expected to be there Monday morning to help pace and cheer. Attached is our current state team roster (individual qualifiers). 

I'll finalize our state relays tomorrow. First I need to send out the accept/decline emails to the respective swimmers/families involved in relays, then I'll email the final roster.

Lastly, I know there has been some questions about practice next week. With the exception of Monday, practice is open to all NFG swimmers (not just state swimmers)! The times will be a little different, I'll share the practice sessions with everyone tomorrow as well. 

Monday - state swimmers and last chance swimmers only

Tuesday - Thur - any interested swimmers

Friday - no practice (@ State)
