Meet Info - 6/21 @ the NFAC

Hi Team,

We're one sleep away from our first home meet of the season!

We're welcoming the SCCA Sharks and the Village Green Velociraptors to the NFAC.

  • I told the team this morning, SCCA might be the only team in the league that rivals us in size and talent — this is a really good test for the Gators!

We'll set up the team "Gator Farm" on the east side of the pool in the grass. Please no Gators on the west side. We'll also have the Gator Pit for team cheer and meetings.

Because of the large size of this meet and the expected high temperatures tomorrow, there's two significant changes:

1) We're starting the meet promptly at 7:30 am

2) There are no free relays. In its original format, the meet was going to run well past 2:00 pm. We looked at several different options to shorten the meet and ultimately decided on cutting the free relays. Every Gator swimmer is in a medley relay.

In order to pull off two shifts and provide heat relief to our timers, we still need 10 timers. Please sign up in Swimtopia and/or let Melissa know.

Please read attached warm up assignments carefully.

Session 1 is all the OGs and a handful of Caimans:

  • Session 1 needs to be at the NFAC at 6:10 am

Session 2 is the remaining Caimans and all of the Hatchlings:

  • Session 2 needs to be at the NFAC at 6:25 am

Make sure you bring some shade, plenty of cold drinks, and food. Don't forget your goggles, towels, and warm clothes for after warm-up when it's still a little chilly.

Here are some important documents to help you navigate the meet tomorrow:

  • Heat Sheets — we're combining 9-10, 37-38, 39-40, 61 heat 2 w/ 62, and 67-68.
  • Individual entry reports — to help swimmers write down their events, heat, and lane. (Coaches will help after warm up if you don't have time or know how).
  • Relay roster — everyone is in the medley

Remember to bring/wear all your NFG gear: team caps, team shirts, team hats, and team suits! NFAC Pink Out (including our new backstroke flags!).

Unless you have a solid reason for leaving early, please plan on staying the entire meet to support your teammates in the distance events and help clean up the NFAC.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Let's go be the funnest, nicest, and fastest team in the pool tomorrow!

Go Gators!

Coach Kyle
