Hi Team,

Thanks for braving the colder temps this morning and showing up to practice. It looks like we'll need to be tough Gators again tomorrow morning – but while other teams are cancelling practice, we're crushing practice!

We had an awesome freestyle day today. Tomorrow we'll cover backstroke, Thursday is breaststroke, and Friday is butterfly & IM. By the time the intersquad meet rolls around on Saturday, swimmers will have practiced all four strokes. 

Speaking of which, we've opened up the Job Sign Up and Athlete Sign Up for our intersquad meet on Saturday.

Swimmer (Event) Sign Up:

1. Log into your Swimtopia account and click the "Schedule" header.
2. Click on the "Gator Intersquad Meet 2025" event.
3. *Returning/experienced swimmers should sign up for three (3) events. **New/beginner swimmers should sign up for two (2) events.
4. You do not sign up for relays, the coaches handle all relay entries. 
5. Events must be entered in Swimtopia by Thursday 6/4 at 8:00 pm
6. As a reminder, all our 15-18 swimmers should be signing up for their own events. Parents - please help your 14 and younger swimmers. 
7. Please let me (Coach Kyle) know if you have any questions about signing up for events!

Volunteer Sign Up:

Melissa Willey, our volunteer coordinator, shared the following information about Saturday's meet: 

• We'll need volunteers to set up/tear down, timers, and clerk of course (heating area to get the kids into their correct lanes).
• Log into Swimtopia, click on the "Schedule" header then "Gators Intersquad Meet" and sign up under "Jobs." 
• Any hours you volunteer at this meet will go toward your total hours needed for the summer deposit. 
• If you're unsure of a role, you'll receive instructions that day but please read the short description listed under that job beforehand. 
• There will be a clerk of course and timer meeting before we kick things off. 
• Please note that we will not have concessions, heat winners, or ribbons for this meet.
