Meet Info - 7/6 @ Nelson Farm Aquatic Center
Hi Team,
We are one sleep away from the last regular season meet of the season against Huntington Hills and Centennial Rec — and it's at the NFAC! Let's goooooooooo!
Warm-up info:
Ages 13 & up: 6:15 - 6:35 am (Arrive no later than at 6:10)
Ages 12 & younger: 6:35 - 7:00 am (Arrive no later than 6:30)
Do not be late for warm-up!
Please set up the Gator base camp in the grassy area on the east side of the pool.
We'll kick the meet off at 8:00 am. Unless you have a solid reason for leaving early, please plan on staying the entire meet to support your teammates in the distance events and helping clean up the pool.
It's going to be a beautiful day for a swim meet! Make sure you bring some shade, plenty of water/drinks, and food. That early in the morning it'll still be a little chilly after the warm-up swim so make sure you have warm clothes to change into before the meets starts.
There will be yummy concessions for sale!
The heat sheets and relay tables are attached. We'll be combining some events in the morning to speed things along. We can help the young bloods write their events down after our warm up.
I also attached an individual entry report so you can easily see what you're swimming, since I did most of the sign ups behind the scenes. These are the events you'll be swimming at City Meet. Swimming them tomorrow is great practice and will help ensure you have seed times. The four events that have been carefully chosen for you give the Gators the best chance to succeed - thank you in advance for prioritizing the team needs over your own.
In rare circumstances, there may be a few City events that change for swimmers after tomorrow. We have about two hours between when the meet ends and City entries are finalized. I reserve the right to make any last minute changes based on what I see in the pool tomorrow. As such, I'll be extra locked in (and more stationary in my coaching chair) watching every event closely, taking notes, and strategizing!
Lastly,
- Remember your team suit, goggles, towels, and team cap (if you wear one).
- Remember your sportsmanship.
- Remember to swim fast.
- Remember to have fun.
Thank you in advance to all our our parent volunteers making this meet happen.
Let's GO GATORS!
