Hi Team,

What an amazing day of swimming today at our first home meet! We had more state qualifiers, 147 total improved times, and cruised to another victory! (And we showed VG that it's not a good idea to disrespect the Gator mascot at the NFAC! :) 

1st place: Nelson Farm - 4872.5 points

2nd place: Village Green - 2924.5 points

3rd place: Observatory Village - 978 points

Results are attached. Thank you to all our awesome parents for volunteering and running a great meet.

Next up: Nelson Farm and Fossil Lake Ranch at SCCA (6/29). We'll open event sign up for that meet on Monday. Let's make it 3-0 on the season!

On Monday we start Gator Week! If you're new to Nelson Farm, Gator Week is when we have our hardest practices of the season and really crank up the intensity! Gator Week is primarily aimed at whipping our older swimmers (ages 11 & up) into shape at just the right time. The real progress and gains with the young bloods comes from continuing to focus on technique, starts/turns, and making sure we're swimming legally, but the young bloods will also have a few hard practices coming their way. This is all about prepping for City & State and giving ourselves enough time to properly peak and taper. 

Speaking of City Meet, Casey sent out an email with City info on 6/19, I attached that PDF here as well. Please make sure you look it over and let me know if you have any questions. There's a handful of important deadlines the first week of July, so we need to be ready. Please plan on attending City Meet — we need all hands on deck to bring the City Championship back to Nelson Farm!

I'll end with a similar message as last week: enjoy the ride — the season is flying by, so make sure you are making the most of it!
